Judged Show

Our Judged Show is coming at the end of March.  Images can be submitted from March 28-30 at the Art Center from 10:00 – 4:00 or on March 31 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm.  Then we will have a couple of hours to prepare for the judging at 6:00pm.  The judging is open for people to watch so you can see what the judges say about the images and learn from that.

The show will hang at the Art Center for the month of April.

Images should be picked up on April 26 or 27 from 10:00am – 4:00pm.

There are 8 categories:

  1. People – This category is for images of people.  This may include portraits, or any other image that features people.
  2. -Scapes – This category would include Landscapes, Cityscapes, Seascapes, etc.
  3. Animal Kingdom – This is a category for images that feature animals.
  4. Botanical – This is for pictures that feature flowers and plants.
  5. Action – This is for images that feature action or movement.
  6. Black-&-White / Sepia – This category allows people to show of their Black-&-White work.  A Sepia toning is allowed, but other colors may not be submitted to this category even if they are single toned.
  7. “Photoshop” Magic – This is for images that feature post-processing.  In this case, we use the term “Photoshop” in the generic sense.  You can use whatever post processing software (or combination thereof) that will allow you to create your vision.
  8. Misc./Open – This is a category for images that the maker does not want to submit to any of the other categories.

Some images could easily fit into more than one category.  The maker of the images must choose what category into which to submit the image.  The judges will not be allowed to move an image to a different category but must judge them with the other images in that category.

Below are links to the Entry Form and the Rules.  They are PDF documents, so they should be easily viewed and printed.  If you have problems with them, please let us know so we can figure out something that will work for you.
